Atuatanga wins ‘Peoples choice award’ at Māoriland.

Māoriland was fantastic! We were inundated with whanau and visitors from overseas wanting to have a go. From kids to kaumātua we had them lining up to experience the virtual reality world of Atuatanga. We learnt a lot about our audience and the game we had created.

We had kids coming back 4 or 5 times, which was a great sign, although the adults needed a turn too so we had to limit the tine the kids were on the game. Being amongst other indigenous film makers and game developers from around the world was the highlight for me.

This was a festival to remember and to top it off we won the audience choice award in MATCH space, it was the perfect way to introduce Atuatanga to the world. Ngā mihi nui Māoriland!
